How To make Your Windows PC/Laptop Shut Down Faster

Does your Windows computer system take eternity to shut down?
Don't worry, there's a way out! Follow the steps below and see your computer system shutting down in micro seconds.

1. Click on the Windows Start button(find it at the task, left bottom corner of the screen), type in regedit in the search box below and press Enter .

2. Locate 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\ControlSet001\\Control' .

3. Locate and Double click on 'WaitToKillServiceTimeout' so you can modify it.

4. Change the value of the 'wait time'.  The value is in milliseconds (1000 = 1 second). You can set it within a range of 4000-20000.

5. Exit the registry editor and restart your computer.
