The most frequent questions that tend to bewilder the regular users are about the processors, dual core, core i3, i5 or i7, the RAM, Hard Drive and the graphics.
Now to the most tricky question; How much RAM would be enough for your computer?
According to a comparative study:
Windows 10 desktop machines with separate RAMs were tested to check each one’s performance. Each desktop running two browsers, playing super heavy games and 65 tabs open in the background.
The machines were then subjected to even further test with Postbox, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel, Dropbox, and other programs running in the background to find the differences between using 1 GB, 2 GB, 3 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM.
The biggest, 16 GB RAM didn't do the computer much good over its other counterparts. Other tests showed that even the 2 GB, 3 GB & 4 GB RAM would be sufficient for regular user/buyers.
6 GB, 8 GB &16 GB RAM gives you a slight performance boost if you are a power user who performs heavy video editing, computer programming, graphics or running other virtual machines.
16 GB RAM was also discovered to be the most advantageous while compressing huge files with 7-zip.
Conclusion: So, if you are planning to buy a new computer or upgrading your system, then a 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB RAM should be preferred. 16 GB RAM is only advised if you are dealing with specific high-demand scenarios.

Also, you could go with the dual-core processor as a minimum, as even though you get the core i3, i5 or i7 processors, you may not notice the difference unless, you are a heavy user.
