Just imagine you getting calls from your friends on Facebook asking to confirm if you actually sent messages or made posts asking for some sort of help or sum of money, and you know absolutely nothing about it? Hmm...Not funny right?
There are many bad guys out there who carry out such nefarious and ridiculous activities probably for monetary gains at the expense of the account's actual owners. They are popularly known as hackers.
The steps below will guide you on how to recover your hacked Facebook account.
Step 1:
- Go to this link: https://web.facebook.com/hacked and click the button "Your account has been Compromised".
Type in your email address, Full Name or your phone number which you used for the account.
- A list users matching your details will be presented to you. Locate and click on yours. If you still do not see your account, try entering some other details other than the one you first entered.
- For example if you entered your phone number and it didn't work try entering your email or Facebook name. Most of the time using your email (the one you used in registering)would be the wisest choice) and click Search.
- When asked for a password, enter the your real password, the one the hacker changed.
- Since the password has been changed by the hacker, you will be flagged by a wrong password message.
- Don't be discouraged! Just click the reset my password button.
- Your primary email or phone number would probably have been changed too, so well of course you don't want to send your reset your password link to the hacker's account. Therefore, Click "no longer have access to these link?".
- Well now you've almost gotten your account back.
- Enter a new email address that you want to send the change password link as well set as your primary email.
Follow these steps and get your Facebook account back in 24 hours. Hope this helps?
